Arrow is committed to supporting better educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Since 2012, we have maintained 25 to 30 scholarships to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their tertiary educational outcomes. The Arrow Energy Indigenous Scholarship program is our partnership with leading Queensland universities, and provides scholarships of $5000 for part-time students and $10,000 for full time students.
These scholarships are available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in 2022 at Griffith University, James Cook University, CQ University, Queensland University of Technology and the University of Queensland.
'I am a part-time Bachelor of Laws (LLB) student currently in my first year at QUT. My interest and why I chose to study law have arisen from working in native title and wanting to best understand the area to be properly equipped to help my people. I am extremely grateful for being awarded a Go Further Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship as the financial implications of choosing to study can be quite overwhelming. This scholarship will assist me by allowing me to buy the equipment I need to study effectively, and the remainder will go towards my course fees. As previously stated, I'm extremely grateful and thank Arrow Energy and the Oodgeroo Unit for choosing me as a successful applicant.'
- Jinnali Kiss, 2020 Go Further Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship recipient
