Dalby Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival
Dalby’s Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival was established in 2010 to celebrate the diverse cultures brought to the region by the resources boom. The festival is the Western Down’s largest multicultural annual event. Visitors to the festival are delighted by arts and cultural displays, food stalls and markets, live entertainment, competitions, lantern making workshops and an evening lantern parade through town that culminates in a fireworks finale.
Arrow has partnered with the festival since 2015.
The biennial Chinchilla Melon Festival promotes Chinchilla and its district, attracting more than 12,000 visitors. In 2019 Chinchilla celebrated 25 years since the first Melon Festival and commemorated the achievement with the unveiling of the region’s Big Melon. Locals and visitors take part in some hilarious melon-based fun and festivities such as melon skiing, melon iron man, melon bungee, melon bullseye, pip spitting and melon tossing. The family entertainment includes markets, a street parade, arts and crafts, and free concerts.
