Surat Gas Project North Environmental Authority (EA0001399)

Arrow Energy is progressing its natural gas development northeast of Miles to produce essential energy.

These current activities associated with Surat Gas Project (SGP) North are authorised under an existing Environmental Authority (EA) – EA0001399 (SGP North EA).

To support a future part of our SGP North development plan, we have lodged an EA amendment application.

What is new?

Arrow Energy is not seeking to increase the amount of gas infrastructure already approved under the SGP North EA.

To enable Arrow to offset its biodiversity impacts in the future, the amendment seeks to provide greater clarity on likely impacts from a specified part of its future planned activities.

How can you have your say?

The community can have their say by making a submission about the application documents. Under the statutory process, public comment is open for 20 business days, up until 14 August 2026. Details on how to make a submission are provided in the public notice, attached below:
