Energy management

The Australian Government’s Future Gas Strategy states that gas will remain an important source of energy through to 2050 and beyond.

Natural gas is essential for reaching net zero in Australia and the region, supporting the transition away from coal, helping unlock renewable energy deployment, and powering Australian industries including those processing the critical minerals required to achieve net zero.

Arrow Energy’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategy supports the Australian Government’s target of net zero emissions by 2050.

Since 2015, we have significantly reduced our emissions intensity by replacing vents with flares and reducing flaring rates through improved well field management and increased gas field interconnections.

As part of our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, we have also implemented fuel gas efficiency improvement projects and electrified gas production wells where feasible.

Rehabilitation

We are committed to leaving the land in the same, if not better condition, than how we found it.

When our infrastructure reaches its end of life, the land is reshaped and reseeded.

We then continue monitoring the land until our ecologists, the landholder, and Queensland Government are satisfied that it has been rehabilitated.
