Underground Water Impact Report Petroleum Lease 486 and Authorities to Prospect 1103, 1031 and 742
In accordance with the Water Act 2000, in February 2025 Arrow issued for public comment, an updated Underground Water Impact Report (UWIR) for Petroleum Lease (PL) 486 and Authorities to Prospect (ATP) 1103, 1031, and 742, which span an area around Glenden, Moranbah, Dysart, Middlemount and Blackwater in central Queensland.
The UWIR provides information to the Queensland Government and the community on any potential changes to groundwater levels within the area as a result of previous production testing and potential future production. It also provides information on our water monitoring strategy.
The updated UWIR found that there has been little change to the predicted groundwater impact from the previous UWIR. Further, there will be no bores in the area impacted by our production testing in the next three years. As a result, there are no make-good obligations in this UWIR.
Following the consultation period, Arrow’s UWIR was formally approved by the Queensland Government.
