Applications are now open to eligible organisations within Arrow’s Surat Gas Project footprint, which includes Dalby, Chinchilla and Miles.
Arrow Energy Community Officer Jayne Weier said the natural gas and electricity producer is committed to supporting communities where it operates.
“Arrow’s community grants program is about backing the people and organisations who make our community the wonderful place it is, while making a positive difference to the lives of locals,” Ms Weier said.
“Local clubs, kindergartens and community groups are the heart of towns across the Darling Downs, and our grants program helps them bring good ideas to life.”
Ms Weier said the grants support a wide range of community-driven activities, including sporting equipment, education initiatives, wellbeing programs and environmental projects.
“Whether it’s buying new resources, providing access to programs or improving shared spaces, we’re proud to fund projects that help communities thrive,” she said.
“We’d love to hear from not-for-profit groups such as sporting clubs, community childcare centres and charities about the projects or initiatives we could help make a reality.”
Patricia McGrath from the Cecil Plains History Group, a 2025 grant recipient, said the funding helped preserve and share local heritage.
“For the centenary of the Cecil Plains Memorial Hall last year, we decided to update a book which covered the local history from 1925 to 2006, by including new memories from present‑day residents,” Ms McGrath said.
“We’re incredibly grateful for Arrow’s grant because it meant we could reprint the book without worrying about how we’d pay for it.
“We also organised a centenary celebration function that really brought people together, with more than 200 people attending, including visitors from Brisbane and Sydney.”
Susie Zillman from Dalby Netball said their 2025 grant helped strengthen participation and safety across the club.
“We used the grant from Arrow to improve our facilities, including purchasing a canteen fridge to keep kids hydrated, upgrading seating around the courts, and buying a first aid kit and PA system for competitions,” Ms Zillman said.
“It’s made a big difference to safety and has helped us grow the club by creating a more welcoming environment for boys and girls from across the local community to come and play netball.”
Applications for Arrow Energy’s Brighter Futures community grants are open from 9 to 27 February 2026.
