Fans will enjoy one-on-one time with the team and management, including photos with players, autographs, an organised footy clinic for school children, giveaways and prizes – all for free.
Brisbane Broncos CEO Paul White said the day was an integral annual event for everyone at the club.
“The Arrow Broncos Fan Day is something we all look forward to because it takes us out into a region that are fantastic supporters of the Brisbane Broncos,” said Mr White.
“Our players and staff enjoy getting to meet the fans and supporters – they are the lifeblood of the Broncos and we really value their passion and loyalty.
“We are all working hard to make 2020 a big year for the club and for all our valued members and fans, and we’d encourage as many people as possible to get along in Dalby.”
Leisa Elder, Arrow’s Vice President External Relations and Tenure Management, said the Broncos visit would be supported by more of Arrow’s partners:
- LifeFlight will fly in with the latest Leonardo AW139 aeromedical helicopter – essentially, a mobile intensive care unit servicing south-west Queensland with funding from the gas industry.
- Dalby’s Police Citizens Youth Club will run laser skirmish.
- Western Downs Traditional Owners will have their own tent with artworks and story-telling, and will chat with visitors throughout the day.
There will also be free children’s face painting, a bouncy house and free Queensland apples. A snack zone will feature multiple vendors; visitors will be given a free, reusable water bottle as they arrive.
“The Broncos get a real charge out of the support they get from their Surat fans, and our other partners love the interaction as well,” Ms Elder said.
“We had more than 1600 people come in 2018.
“The Arrow Broncos Fan Day has become a real family event as it has evolved, with a wonderful atmosphere that is unique to Dalby.
“Our Dalby-based staff are looking forward to this day as much as anyone else.”
This is the seventh year that Arrow has made the free event possible for Western Downs fans, through its role as official energy partner of the Brisbane Broncos and Broncos Women’s teams.
