Arrow campaign highlights untold stories

04 November 2013

Arrow Energy has launched a major advertising campaign which tells some of the ‘untold’ stories behind the gas industry development in Queensland.

Arrow CEO Andrew Faulkner said the campaign focused on some of the lesser known activities going on in Queensland as a result of the growth of the coal seam gas industry.

“Many Queenslanders may not know that Arrow supplies 20% of the Queensland gas market, or enough electricity to power as many as 800,000 homes. We’ve been doing it for more than a decade.”

Mr Faulkner said that, in addition, the television and press campaign told the story of Arrow’s:

  • 100 scholarships and bursaries for young people throughout Queensland
  • university camps for 300 secondary school students
  • agricultural scholarships for students in Western Downs
  • $1.25 billion in local supplier contracts
  • the industry aero-medical service that’s already helped more than 160 people in the community
  • Arrow’s partnership with the Brisbane Broncos where players deliver reading and healthy living programs to hundreds of children in regional and remote communities.

“Arrow is also a proud partner of many organisations who do exceptional work in communities in which we operate,” Mr Faulkner said.

This is the second phase of a state-wide multi-media campaign and will run throughout November.

The first phase, Because we’re Listening, started on 24 September and focused on Arrow’s initiatives to demonstrate coexistence with the Surat basin agricultural industry and regional communities.
