Arrow funding opens for 2019 Indigenous students

Applications have opened for Indigenous scholarships at four Queensland universities, supported by Arrow Energy.

The Arrow Energy Indigenous Scholarships are valued up to $10,000 per year for fulltime students.

“I urge all Indigenous students to consider applying for an Arrow scholarship, especially if it’s going to make the difference between studying and not studying,” said Arrow’s Manager Community and Communications, Liz Edwards.

“I’m proud to say that more than one Arrow scholar has been a first-in-family university student, which is proof that we have been able to make a difference.

“We launched these scholarships in 2012 and have been proudly supporting Indigenous university students since then – from first-year students to doctoral candidates, and from engineering and nursing to law, arts and psychology.

“I’m looking forward to meeting the 2019 scholars and watching where tertiary education takes them.

“Our company is committed to supporting better educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, especially those from our operational areas.”

The scholarships are open to full and part-time study. Preference is given to students from Arrow’s operational areas.
