Arrow Energy has reached a major milestone in its Surat Gas Project (SGP) North development near Miles in Queensland’s Western Downs, constructing its 100th natural gas well.
Since commencing major works on SGP North in early 2025, Arrow has built real momentum on the northern expansion.
SGP North progress and community contribution:
- 100 of 250 stage one natural gas wells drilled
- 150 kilometres of pipeline installed
- First gas delivered in late 2025
- 400 jobs created
- 100 local graziers and landholders working with Arrow
- $13 million+ directly spent with Miles businesses
- $200,000+ invested in local community groups.
Chief Operating Officer Anton Verdel said SGP North was moving forward safely and strongly.
“Drilling our one hundredth well is a significant milestone for SGP North and reflects the strong progress we are making across the development,” Mr Verdel said.
“Reaching this milestone safely is a credit to Arrow teams and our contracting partners who are delivering this project with focus and discipline every day.
“The milestone underscores the strong partnerships we’ve built across the Miles region, with local landholders, businesses and community organisations a driving force behind the project’s delivery.”
SGP North is the second major development area in Arrow’s multi-phase Surat Gas Project.
