Arrow Energy to strengthen Darling Downs communities with $60,000 in funding
Arrow Energy has announced more than $60,000 in funding for 16 not-for-profit organisations to help deliver wellbeing, health and environment programs across the Darling Downs.
Awarded as part of Arrow’s 2026 Brighter Futures community grants program, the funding will support initiatives that benefit communities within its Surat Gas Project footprint.
Arrow Energy Community Officer Jayne Weier congratulated this year’s recipients.
“From preschoolers to seniors, the funding will deliver a range of community building programs to local residents in areas including Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles and Oakey,” Ms Weier.
“We’re proud to support a diverse range of organisations to help promote community wellbeing, healthy lifestyles and environmental sustainability in areas where we work.
“We know that these grants make a huge difference to the work of hard-working not-for-profit groups, and we’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact.”
Dalby Aquatic Centre’s Amber Brandt said Arrow’s support would help make its weekly Social Walk and Talk group more accessible for participants.
“The support from Arrow Energy means we can make improvements that we didn’t think were possible, helping to make the space more accessible for everyone,” Ms Brandt said.
Dalby Daycare Centre’s Lacey Spendelove said the funding would support early learning outcomes for local families.
“We’re very grateful to receive this grant from Arrow Energy – as a not-for-profit centre, all of our fundraising goes straight back into resources and programs that improve learning environments for the children,” Ms Spendelove said.
