Environment

Arrow approaches its environmental responsibilities with the same discipline, strategy and accountabilities that drive any part of our business to produce benefits that extend far beyond our bottom line.

Operating in a manner that protects and promotes the health and well-being of the environment is one of Arrow Energy’s key priorities. We aim to minimise the release of any harmful substances into the air, water or the earth and actively protect the ecological values of the areas in which we operate. The company has maintained a clean environmental record since its foundation in 1997, thanks to the dedication of our team and the rigid implementation of our Integrated Environmental Management System (IEMS).

At its core, our IEMS requires compliance with laws and regulations. At a second, higher level, it assists us to go further than the law requires in every facet of our operation – from exploration and development, through to operations, decommissioning and rehabilitation. We strive to continually improve the system and, in turn, our environmental performance by conducting rigorous audits and self-assessments. We understand that our responsibilities to the areas in which we operate do not stop when the extraction of coal seam gas does – through legislation, Arrow will remain responsible for its drilling sites for future generations.

Resulting from this process is a series of environmental checklists broken down into functional area guidance notes and then distributed to staff and service providers via their contract and internal training programs. Further, a series of training sessions are held throughout the year and individual tool box talks and on site training is conducted to ensure effective delivery and compliance.
