As the Broncos’ official energy partner, Arrow Energy has arranged the ‘blitz’ ahead of the annual Arrow Broncos Dalby Fan Day on Saturday 23 November at Dalby Leagues Club.
The blitz will see Broncos players and coaching staff moving from school to school, delivering skills clinics and playing touch football.
“The Broncos players – heroes of sport to so many school-age children – will be coming to see these children in their own environment,” said Arrow Vice President External Relations and Tenure Management Leisa Elder.
“This is a push before end-of-term to deliver a powerful message about the value of healthy living and active lifestyles.
“They’ll deliver strong messages on the value of education and healthy lifestyle, including the health benefits of sport for all ages, genders and levels of ability.
“These messages carry a lot of weight coming from such legends – especially as the kids will be interacting with them.
“The Broncos and Arrow brought the dual premiership winning Broncos NRL Women’s team to Toowoomba schools in August, and this month’s Dalby school blitz continues that campaign.”
The visiting players will be divided into groups so they can cover all schools.
The schedule for the November 22 schools blitz is:
1:00pm – 3:00pm: School visits with skills clinics
- Dalby Central State School
- Dalby Christian School
- Dalby South State Schoo
- Our Lady of the Southern Cross
1:20pm – 3:00pm: Beyond the Broncos Girls Academy Rewards Day, PCYC Dalby – touch football
3:00pm – 5:00pm: PCYC Dalby – ping pong playoff.
The day will finish with an event involving Broncos representatives and invited guests, including Traditional Owners, local not-for-profit groups, schools, farmers and business people.
In a separate Arrow-sponsored activity, the Beyond the Broncos Girls Academy will hold a cultural camp for 20 secondary students in Toowoomba on November 21-24. The Broncos players will conduct a leadership workshop with these students in Dalby at the Police Citizens Youth Club on November 22.
Arrow is proud to present events that promote health and exercise, through its partnership with Queensland’s most popular sporting team.
