We want to be an industry leader in helping to make Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander equality a reality.
Arrow is creating employment, training and education and business opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, through:
- Indigenous scholarships to assist students to complete senior schooling, attend boarding schools, and complete higher education in five of Queensland's leading universities
- the Whanu Binal program which provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to gain work in the CSG industry.
In May 2013, we were the first CSG company in Queensland to launch a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which supports employment, training, education and supplier opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
We have negotiated land use agreements with Traditional Owners over specific areas. In making these agreements, we've gone beyond a short-term focus on compensation to address long term developments goals and post-project sustainability.
Our operations – and our RAP – are underpinned by our respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their histories and unique connection to the land.
