In June 2022, Arrow Energy withdrew its application to renew Authority to Prospect 644 (ATP 644) in the Clarence Moreton Basin (Beaudesert area).
As part of the process, we produced a final Underground Water Impact Report (UWIR) for ATP 644.
As described in previous UWIRs, the production wells which were in the area, have been plugged and fully rehabilitated. The rehabilitation included sealing the wells, removing the above-ground infrastructure, and returning the sites to their original state. As a result, the predictions made in this fourth and final UWIR have not changed materially from previous reports.
The final UWIR for ATP 644 has now been approved, without conditions, by the Queensland Department of Environment and Science (DES). The report takes effect from 3 February 2023.
