Arrow Bowen Pipeline EIS

The Arrow Bowen Pipeline will transport CSG approximately 500km from the Bowen Basin to Gladstone.

An environmental impact statement (EIS) was prepared for the proposed high-pressure gas pipeline and associated lateral pipelines.

The EIS was approved by Queensland Government in March 2013 and received Federal approval in October 2014.

Arrow Bowen Pipeline EIS history:

  • December 2011 - Arrow lodges the draft EIS with the Queensland Government.
  • March 2012 - Queensland Government approves draft EIS for public release and comment.
  • May 2012 - Public comment period ends.
  • May 2012 - Arrow refers project for Commonwealth assessment.
  • December 2012 - Arrow lodges a supplementary report to the EIS with the Queensland Government.
  • March 2013 - Queensland Government approves the supplementary EIS report.
  • August 2013 - Preliminary document package incorporating request for variation.
  • June/July 2014 - Arrow releases additional documentation for public comment as part of the project's Commonwealth environmental assessment.
  • October 2014 - ABP receives environmental approval from the Federal Government.
