Bowen domestic gas business

Arrow is expanding its operations in the Bowen Basin with a major coal seam gas exploration, development and production project.

The Moranbah Gas Project (MGP) lies in the Bowen Basin, west of Mackay, and is one of the largest coal seam gas (CSG) fields in Australia by area. The MGP is a 50/50 joint venture between Arrow and AGL (Arrow is the operator).

The MGP has supplied gas domestically since 2004. Today it supplies Townsville Power Station, an ammonium nitrate plant in Moranbah and mineral refining facilities in north Queensland.

In addition to our significant commitment to the domestic market, we are also working to meet growing international demand for cleaner energy. Production across Arrow's broader Bowen Basin acreage will increase through the Bowen Gas Project, located adjacent to the MGP.

Gas will be transported to Gladstone through the Arrow Bowen Pipeline.
