Bowen Gas Project

Arrow’s proposed Bowen Gas Project (BGP) involves a phased expansion of Arrow’s CSG production in the Bowen Basin to supply the liquefied natural gas (LNG) export market.

The proposed project includes infrastructure for extracting and compressing gas, and for treating water produced from CSG extraction.

The project area runs from north of Moranbah to Glenden for its first phase and, in future, south of Moranbah.

BGP entered front-end engineering design (FEED) in late 2014. This is expected to take about 12 months.

The proposed project lies near the existing Moranbah Gas Project, owned jointly by Arrow and AGL Energy. One of the largest CSG fields in Australia, it has been producing gas for the domestic market since 2004.

An environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Bowen Gas Project has been approved by the State and Federal governments.  Access the Bowen Gas Project EIS here.
