Leisa Elder joined Arrow Energy in 2009 from Santos, where she was the Principal Government Advisor on the GLNG project.

She has worked with stakeholders and media internationally, having been Senior Executive in Europe's leading Issues Management firm, and lead consultant to Rio Tinto, Enron, General Electric, Mobil, GlaxoSmithkline, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Chase Manhattan Bank.

In the mid 1990s, Leisa was a Producer with Sky News and Reuters World Service, and became Executive Producer with the American television network NBC, and its financial arm CNBC, based in London. She was involved in the live US coverage of the Iraq and Bosnian Wars, Asian economic crisis, Clinton impeachment and demise of the Major Government.

On returning to Australia, she was the Senior Advisor to the State Treasurer, Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development and Trade, and Minister for Health. She later took up the role of Executive Director of Public Affairs and Board member of Queensland Health.

Leisa grew up in Gladstone, in Central Queensland, and was a Bachelor of Arts graduate of the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education (DDIAE), now the University of Southern Queensland, in Toowoomba.
