Since 2011, Arrow Energy’s Brighter Futures program has provided more than $20 million to support health and safety, education and environmental projects across Queensland.

Brighter Futures is Arrow's community investment program which supports the sustainable development of communities in our operational footprint. Through Brighter Futures, we support local organisations that are dedicated to developing stronger communities.

The program supports three areas of community interest: health and safety, education and environment. It also places significant importance on the inclusion of Indigenous projects and initiatives.

There are three types of funding

Community funding grants are available for smaller, one-off donations to support local organisations.

Sponsorships are available for larger scale funding which may include opportunities to promote Arrow in combination with a community organisation or initiative.

Partnerships are available for larger scale funding which may include initiatives that have a sustainable community benefit and potentially minimise impacts.

How to apply

Does your initiative benefit the community through objectives linked to one of the three focus areas:

  • health and safety
  • education
  • environment.

Does your initiative benefit Arrow's operations in the:

  • Bowen Basin
  • Surat Basin
  • Brisbane region.

Does your initiative meet the eligibility requirements? Preference is given to applications that:

  • address an identified area of need in the community
  • build skills in the local community
  • provide opportunities for community involvement
  • continue to provide benefits and be sustainable after the project is completed.

Application submission dates

Community funding grants and sponsorships are offered in two rounds per year, and close on the following dates:

Round oneFirst Friday in March
Round twoFirst Friday in September


Applications for larger scale funding are accepted throughout the year.
