Health, Safety & Environment

Arrow employees are continually striving for zero harm in the workplace.

Across all its operations, Arrow believes nothing less than zero harm is acceptable. In 2012 Arrow commenced a review of its Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS).

The HSEMS is a company-wide system that describes the mandatory requirements for effective health, safety and environmental practices across all of Arrow’s activities and operations. The HSEMS consists of policies, standards, procedures, plans, manuals, guidelines, forms, checklists and registers.

We conduct ourselves and our business with due care and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. The HSEMS is established to have a systematic approach to continual improvement in HSE management.

The 48 HSE Management Standards have been developed and grouped into systems and hazard-based categories which are:

  1. Management System
  2. Personal Safety
  3. Health and Hygiene
  4. Environment
  5. Process Safety

Our safety performance begins with the Leadership Team and extends to all levels of the company to help our people recognise and respond to risks and actively seek out opportunities to improve our safety culture. This drives improvements in equipment, processes, work methods, and individual and group performance.
