The Tipton West Project is located in the Surat Basin. First gas was sold from the field under contract to Braemar Power Partners on 6 February 2007.

The Tipton West Project is located in the Surat Basin, 20km south of Dalby in south-east Queensland.

FIRST GAS
First gas was sold from the field under contract to Braemar Power Partners on 6 February 2007.

GAS CONTRACTS
The Tipton West joint venture has a 15-year gas sales contract to supply 9.5 PJ/year to the Braemar 1 Power Station and a 15-year gas sales contract to supply 3.5 PJ/year to the Braemar 2 Power Station.

GAS PRODUCTION
Total production at Tipton West reached 11.10 PJ for the year ended 30 June 2010, a 9 percent increase over the prior year. Total gas production for the quarter ended 30 June 2010 was 2.71 PJ.

RESERVES
A large reserves base has been confirmed at the Tipton West field with certification resulting in 1P, 2P and 3P gross reserves of 309 PJ, 667 PJ and 689 PJ respectively, making it potentially one of Australia’s largest onshore gas fields.

TIPTON WEST GAS PROCESSING FACILITY
The Tipton West Gas Processing Facility is owned and operated by APA Group which charges a tolling fee to process the raw gas from the Tipton West field under a usage agreement.
