Tim has over 20 years experience in coal and coal seam gas geology. He lead the coal seam gas exploration and development programs in the Huntly and Taranaki regions of New Zealand for Solid Energy NZ Ltd. He is also Senior Fellow at the Department of Geological Sciences, University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He has over 184 scientific articles, reports and abstracts on many aspects of coal geology and coal seam gas exploration and development and has extensive experience in Indonesia including consulting to BHP Billiton’s coal exploration programs. Tim has been on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Coal Geology since 2000.
