As an emerging global coal seam gas company, Arrow benefits greatly from Steve's broad oil and gas experience particularly throughout Europe and Asia.

Steve spent his entire working career with global energy company BP, performing engineering and operational roles on downstream and upstream projects throughout Scotland before accepting increasingly senior commercial and general management positions in London, the Netherlands and Abu Dhabi.

In 1997, Steve was appointed Business Unit Leader and Country Manager to run BP’s interests in Vietnam. He led the development of the Nam Con Son Gas Project, a US$1.3 billion gas-fired power station which came on stream in 2002 and today supplies nearly 50 percent of the country’s electricity. He was awarded the MBE for services to British interests in Vietnam and the Vietnamese Labour Medal for his role in establishing the Vietnamese gas industry.

Since retiring from BP in 2003, Steve has been Principal of JS Energy where he provides strategic advice, particulalry on safety issues, to major companies in the resources and energy sectors.
