Nicholas Davies joined Arrow Energy in January 2004 as Chief Operating Officer. He became CEO in September 2004 and was additionally appointed as Managing Director in December 2005. Nick has over 25 years oil and gas industry experience in upstream development, strategic planning, new business development and marketing. Prior to joining Arrow, he was President of BP’s Asia Pacific Gas and Power business headquartered in Tokyo and immediately prior to that was President of Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) South-East Asia, based in Singapore.

During Nick’s tenure, Arrow Energy has grown to become one of Australia’s largest producers of coal seam gas. Since making its first gas sale from its Kogan North field in January 2006, the company has added three more producing fields and now accounts for more than 20 percent of Queensland’s total gas consumption. More recently, Arrow has achieved margin growth through its investment in merchant gas and pipeline businesses and other downstream opportunities. The company is a partner in a liquefied natural gas plant currently being built in Gladstone by LNG Ltd.

Nick is now steering Arrow’s global expansion. The company has established a foothold in the key Asian growth markets of India, China, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Nick will retire from the Executive on 30 April 2010. He will assume the role of Chairman upon the retirement of current Arrow Chairman John Reynolds at the end of September 2010.
