Project Assessment (EIS)

Arrow must gain approval from the Queensland and Commonwealth Governments before our major projects can proceed.

The approvals process ensures our activities have been properly assessed and appropriate measures are in place to avoid or minimise environmental, social and economic impacts. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is generally considered the most appropriate method to assess a project and:

  • Identifies potential adverse and beneficial impacts of the projects
  • Ensures Arrow protects environmental, social and economic values that may be affected by the projects
  • Identifies environmental management measures
  • Ensures community and stakeholder views are heard

In December 2011, Arrow lodged draft EIS documents with the State Government for three of its major projects: the Arrow LNG Plant, the Surat Gas Project and the Arrow Bowen Pipeline.

The State Government has now approved the release of each of these EIS for public consultation, and these are now available on our website for review and comment. The EIS can be viewed online, downloaded in pdf format or requested on disk or in hard copy format.  Details on how submissions can be made are also outlined on the relevant project page.

Please click on the relevant project box below to view the EIS for that project.
