Bowen Gas Project EIS

The Bowen Gas Project EIS will cover the development of production activities in the Bowen Basin.

Arrow's Bowen Gas Project EIS is yet to commence but public input will form an important part of the EIS, with public feedback providing valuable information and understanding of potential impacts of the project.

Arrow has committed to engaging with with stakeholders across the Bowen Basin throughout the EIS process. As part of our commitment to engaging with community members, Arrow is undertaking an extensive community engagement program. This includes meeting with key stakeholders, community forums and public displays, the distribution of information materials, and opportunities for public input, including written submissions. These activities will take place throughout the EIS process and will be advertised in the local media.

Before Commonwealth and State approvals are issued, regulatory authorities must be satisfied that our activities have been properly assessed and that appropriate measures are in place to avoid or minimise environmental, social and economic impacts. Arrow activities are governed by the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004 and the Environmental Protection Act 1994. The Commonwealth’s Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 also requires that Arrow Energy demonstrates that its activities will not significantly impact matters of national environmental significance.
