More than 1000 Western Downs residents turned out to meet the Brisbane Broncos NRL team and coach Anthony Griffin at Dalby Leagues Club, at the annual fan day on 31 March 2012, hosted by Arrrow.
Every player except injured winger Jharal Yow Yeh attended, providing a rich sporting and recreational opportunity for country rugby league fans.
The day was delivered as part of a the Brisbane Broncos three-year partnership with Arrow, a venture designed to provide a direct connection between the Broncos and communities in the Surat Basin.
Over the three years, Arrow will bring a host of Broncos-dominated activity to the area including a fan day once a year, five regional coaching clinics per year and four player-led Broncos’ Book Club sessions. Junior players from the area will also be invited to join the biggest rugby league stage as part of halftime entertainment during NRL matches at Suncorp Stadium.
